Yesterday, as members of the public in Chuka Town Tharaka Nithi County were demonstrating, police used live bullets to disperse crowds that had barricaded the main Meru -Nairobi highway.
One person was sh0t dead, and he was trying to mediate between the boda boda guys and the police.
Riots went on through the night and may spill over today.
One notable fact is the Governor Muthomi Njuki,Chuka Igambang'ombe mp, and Maara Mp condemned the violence and blamed police for being rogue and using live bullet to disperse peaceful demonstrators.
Last week, they applauded the police for being professional when violently dispersing Azimio rallies.
