Police explains why they arrested Pauline Njoroge

Police in Kilifi County have released a statement explaining the circumstances that led to the arrest of popular digital strategist and blogger, Pauline Njoki Njoroge.

Ms. Njoroge was arrested earlier today while in Watamu alongside 2 other females and a driver of the vehicle they were travelling in.

According to a police report seen by BRK, Pauline was arrested for allegedly being in possession of Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic substances.

"At around 1630 hours, officers from DCI Kilifi County while tracing for one Pauline Njoroge, intercepted a motor vehicle Reg. No. K*V 116T Toyota Hiace silver in colour along Watamu Jacaranda road and upon search from the vehicle, Four rolls of dry plant material suspected to be narcotic drugs were recovered," reads part of the statement.

The detectives add that a further search was done at the suspects' residences at Mawe Zuri Resort and two clear containers containing tablets suspected to be narcotic substances were also recovered.

"In house number Nne which was occupied by Pauline Njoki Njoroge, a clear container containing 50 (fifty) tablets suspected to be narcotic substances was recovered," the report indicates.

All four suspects have been booked and placed in custody at the Watamu Police Station in Malindi Sub-County to be charged with the offence of being in possession of Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

SUBJECT: ARREST OF SUSPECT FOR BEING IN POSSESSION OF SUSPECTED NARCOTIC DRUGS AND PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES
Refer OB No.29 /22/7/2023 at 1809 hrs.

At around 1630 hours, officers from DCI Kilifi county while tracing for one Pauline Njoroge, intercepted a motor vehicle Reg. No. KCV 116T Toyota Hiace silver in colour along Watamu Jacaranda road and upon search from the vehicle, Four rolls of dry plant material suspected to be narcotic drugs were recovered.

The occupants namely 1. Pauline Njoki Njoroge a Kikuyu female adult aged 37 years 2. Jane Mwangi Nduta a Kikuyu female adult aged 37 years and 3. Emanze Jilani a Giriama male adult aged 46 years a driver of the said motor vehicle all arrested .

A further search was conducted at their residence at Mawe Zuri resort house number Tatu which was occupied by Jane Mwangi and a clear container containing ten(10) tablets suspected to be narcotic substances was recovered and in house number Nne which was occupied by Pauline Njoki Njoroge, a clear container containing 50(fifty) tablets suspected to be narcotic substances was also recovered.

All suspects were booked and placed in custody to be charged with the offence of being in possession of Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances . A motor vehicle registration number KCV 116T was also detained.
